WHAT IS IT?

Is it a volcano frozen mid eruption?

An extremely odd looking person with an excessively red face and a nondescript and ill-fitting green top?

An unusual and surprising breast?

A three dimensional visualisation of my recurring acid reflux that is terrorising me currently?

Whatever it is you can see more such objects over in CERAMIC

IMAGINE.

Imagine this but massive and made of stone or bronze or another kind of metal or melted down plastic milk bottles.

Now imagine it's in your gran's front garden amongst all the flowers, popping it's head over the hedge.

Imagine what your gran's neighbours would say!

Imagine their faces when they left the house to get some milk or eggs or butter or some other kitchen staple.

Imagine that...

Or don't.

It's up to you what you imagine.

Taken from a series of tiny drawings of extremely large sculptures that may never be made. More over at DRAWINGS.

MEET THE ARTIST : ALBERTO GIACOMETTI

Meet The Artist : Alberto Giacometti is a kids activity book published by Tate Publishing and my first kids book proper.

Written in collaboration with the Editors at Tate, illustrated by myself and designed in collaboration with Nous Vous, this book introduces kids to Giacometti's work in a fun and engaging way. By using a selection of original images, quotes and creating a series of activities that explore key themes and ideas in Giacometti's work the book aims to inspire children to create and learn a variety of techniques and mediums.
